In 1952 a young comedian met Stan and Ollie in the most unlikely of places, on a street in Belfast. His name was Frank Carson. This happening was during a tour when Laurel and Hardy were doing a two week stint in the Grand Opera House.

Frank who idolised these great giants of comedy was obviously impressed by what he had seen during this chance meeting of no more than a couple of minutes since many years later he had a plaque erected in memory of his two heroes in the Midland Buildings (formerly the Midland Hotel) where the boys had stayed!

Have you any stories to tell?
